Emil Frey Racing hotly anticipates first night race of the season

  • – Magny-Cours: The first out of five Sprint events
  • – Packed weekend schedule with two one-hour races
  • – A field of 27 GT3 cars representing 8 brands

Safenwil (Switzerland), 4th of May 2021

The first out of five Sprint weekends of the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe is set to launch on the 8th and 9th of May in Magny-Cours France. Due to the pandemic, the race will be following strict safety measures and will be taking place without a live audience.
The sprint event consists of two one-hour races, with the special feature of Saturday’s race being a night race. Furthermore, Magny-Cours will host a number of support series like the Renault Clio Cup Europe and the Porsche Carrera Cup France.
The former Formula 1 track «Circuit de Never Magny-Cours» comprises 4.412 kilometers and nine right- as well as eight left turns and is located only 15 kilometers south of Nevers in the western part of Burgundy. It is with mixed emotions that Emil Frey Racing looks back at the race weekend from 2020: The #14 Lamborghini finished the first race in second place, while the sister #163 had to end the race early because of a crash.
This year, 27 GT3 cars representing a total of 8 brands will be entering the race. Emil Frey Racing is currently on third place in the overall ranking and is aiming for solid results in the Sprint cup as well.

Emil Frey Racing will be entering the race with the following driver duos:

#14
Ricardo Feller
Alex Fontana

#114
Jack Aitken
Konsta Lappalainen

#163
Albert Costa
Norbert Siedler

The schedule in Magny-Cours looks as follows:

In 2020, the Emil Frey Racing team finished the Sprint Cup in third place. Accordingly, their expectations for the current season are high and preparations are in full swing. The qualifyings as well as both races can be streamed live via Youtube.
