- Silver Cup victory up for grabs at last Sprint weekend

After this year’s GT World Challenge Europe calendar was published, it was one circuit in particular that came as a surprise: The Circuit Ricardo Tormo Valencia. In the past years, Emil Frey Racing was able to gain plenty of valuable experience at the circuit in Barcelona and is thrilled to take on yet another challenging Spanish racetrack. Last February, during two private test days, Emil Frey Racing was able to collect first insights and important data for the, at that point, unknown circuit.
The Circuit Ricardo Tormo Valencia is 4.005km long, consists of 14 turns and is located in Cheste, a province in Valencia. It’s named after the late Spanish motorcycle racer Ricardo Tormo. The track runs anticlockwise and hosts, among others, the MotoGP, the Superbike World Championship and the FIA GT Championship.
The upcoming race weekend will also conclude the 2021 Sprint Cup season. There is plenty at stake for Emil Frey Racing, as important points and maybe even a victory are up for grabs in the drivers’ ranking with Fontana on the one hand, and the teams’ ranking on the other hand. These wins will decide the fight for podium in the overall Silver Cup ranking (Sprint & Endurance).
Once again, Frenchman Arthur Rougier will be taking Aitken’s place in the #114. The Emil Frey Racing squad is headed to Valencia in high spirits and is aiming for a successful race weekend.
